Bath house was in terrible shape. Broken toilet seats. Toilets were sized for pre-school kids. They advertise a view but camp sites are down in a bowl. Trash piles up at bath house and bath house is not clean. Long overdue for repairs and upkeep. If RV is low there is a drop off going from country road down into camping area and it will cause damage. Residential area and neighbors are not friendly. They drive by and yell insults into the camp ground.

If you like crowded tight sites, underage kids careening around in golf carts then this place is for you. We found it difficult to ride our bikes on the roads due to the amount of traffic. Would only ride in the early morning. Some like this type of place with the hustle and bustle. narrow roads, trees and parked vehicles make it difficult to back in. We went based on a recommendation from a relative. As is every place you go in a beach town everything you do takes $$. Sewer connections were oddly placed at mid site. Neighbors connection was right next to our table. Due to small size and shape of site we could not relocate the table. My sewer connection was broken and it was never repaired. With a doughnut I was able to use it. Rules are selectively enforced. The only true waterfront sites are around the lake. Our site was dirty upon arrival and we noticed as others left some of them also left trash behind. Never saw anyone check empty sites other than picking up the bag of trash at the road and making sure the site was empty. It is not for us. Would not stay here again.

Staff is pleasant but not what I call friendly. Was quoted $130 for three nights. Switched to two nights and it went down to $64. Why???? No response given. Extra fees for everything!! Stayed in the upper campground. Only place where there is shady sites. Half in open field and half in wooded setting. Bath house sits between the two. They really need two in the upper camp due to the number of sites. I would not want to try and get into the bath house on a busy weekend. Workers were busy constructing new sites and adding new cabins. Think they should improve existing facilities before adding new. We used it as a base for site seeing. Noticed those who remained in campground gathered at the pool. Based on reviews I took extra blocks for stabilizing and used every one I had. On many sites the water/electric is at one end and sewer is at the opposite end. Make sure you have extensions. Sewer connection was just a pipe sticking up with jagged broken end. It was covered by a rock. Good thing I had a donut connection to use. Lower campground mainly for PUPS or small TT. Long walk on road or up about 50 steps to the bath house in that area. If I were to come again I would bring my own canoe and play n the river. But not on a weekend.

What a great park. Beach was great! Yes the store prices were high but what camp store is not? Drive to Beaufort to sight see, go to dinner, and get groceries on the way back. We found the rangers very friendly and no more rules than other places we have been. Did not have to worry about the kids. Tropical oasis. We will be back.

I will repeat another review because it was the same as our experience. This campground was a disappointment. It has lots of activities for $$$ but it is very poorly run. QUIET TIME IS NOT ENFORCED! There was fighting, cussing, screaming, partying, & drinking everywhere. One night I went to the ranger station to report the noise. They did nothing! My children wanted to go home. I will never return to this campground again. It is nothing but a drunk's paradise!

Loved this campground. Hummingbirds were awesome! Not a parking lot type of campground. This is why I bought the trailer. Great place to use as a base camp or just to relax. Enjoy the town by day and watch the stars at night. Wish we lived closer to so we could go every year.

Gave a 5 for the above average customer service of the owners and clean showers. Park is basically a gravel lot. It was OK since we just used it as a place to sleep. One strange thing upon pulling in I noticed no one had anything sitting out. No chairs grills etc unless being used. Found out later Williams had a crime problem. Hopefully that has been taken care of. Unlike other posters would stay elsewhere next time.

More of a campground feel than a parking lot. Spent a week here. Enjoyed not being "in town" but minutes away from everything. Quiet and scenic. Staff was very friendly. One staff member went out of his way to assist my son with a flat tire on his bike. Movie was on a TV but it was more about the comraderie than the movie.

Will not stay here again. Misleading. Gravel lot close to interstate. Listended to traffic all night. Other side of park is a trailer park. How did they get into the RPI listings? No bath house.
